How the lesson works

Meet us at the Oasi del Mare, Calambrone (Pisa), 15 minutes before your booked time. Your instructor is dedicated only to you for the whole session.

The lesson starts with about 15 minutes of theory on the beach, covering how to handle the wing (the inflatable sail) and the correct stance on the board. Then you go into the water to practise balance on the board and controlling the wing in the wind.

The foil, the wing under the board that lifts you off the water, is not used in the first lesson. It is introduced in the following lessons, included in the 2, 4 or 6-hour packages. The dates of the next lessons are agreed with your instructor at the end of the first session and can be on consecutive or non-consecutive days, up to 2 lessons a day.

Requirements

Suitable from age 14. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult at the centre. Being able to swim is recommended.

Good to know

  • Changing rooms with showers (hot water requires tokens) and lockers on site
  • Free private parking

Foiling / Towfoil

Towfoiling is a learning method where you are towed by a RIB, so you can quickly experience what it feels like to fly on a foil.

The lesson lasts 30 minutes.

Amazing experience, with Julian.very well thought out training that helped me to progress from land groundhandling the kite, then with sup board, then with a boat onto a foil. Good progression with ease, and fun with enough challenge to keep me enthusiastic but not over worked..thank you so much, I will be back for more with my 2 sons..highly recommended for beginners, and im in no doubt for developing further the skills it requires to become fluent and comfortable on a foil.😀
